While the global payment volume in E-commerce transactions during 2009-2012 just rose up by 16 percent, card payment volume via Internet in our country rose up by 41 percent in the same period.  Highlighting that competition evolves rapidly in the coming period, Mehmet Ali Emir, General Director of 6 Gen Software, emphasize that Companies effectively using the data and taking right decisions rapidly will be the winners.

Could you inform us about your works in E-Commerce?  What are the key points while developing an e-commerce website and looking for a software solution? 

E-commerce is an environment where goods and service production, promotion, sales, insurance, distribution and payment operations are carried out through computer networks.  And by eliminating restrictions such as time, space, as prohibitive factors, it enables customers to access affordable, first quality and continuous product supply. Professional software is programs which are mainly offered by software companies in packages, which have extensive functionalities, compliant with business requirements, suppliers and comparison websites and where you can have technical support continuously. We are talking about an infrastructure which supports end-to-end both website and distribution companies in the planning area.

You are required to contact with supplier, to get information from supplier and to make all these executable and analysis-friendly on a single platform in line with the data received.  Then you are required to plan products to be displayed for sales, to plan on which day, on which hour, in which order you purchase such products. You are required to deliver them dynamically to front-end, to have legal records of payments created on live and notify once the basket is checked out.

If you are managing your warehouse processes with your own means, you are required to inform related unit about from which shelves must the automatically reserved products be picked up on the customer basis, and you are required to inform them about a second or more purchase, if any, of a customer whose previous orders are not dispatched yet to dispatch same products in one delivery. If your warehouse processes are handled through logistics company, you are required to send the data needed by system of such logistics company.  And you are required to track data of the delivery such as cargo company, day, number to ensure the customer satisfaction.

We are talking about an automatized system for managing customer, providing them delivery information about product in-transit, dynamically solving customer complaints, handling customer return processes and answering to complaints, all via one single system.  Even if a slight overlooking may lead a customer who will never come back to you again.
